I booked a bargain train trip to Brighton some time ago - £11.90 from Harpenden - and back!
What I didn't know (honest) was that it was Gay Pride Weekend.
By the time the train left London it was absolutely packed, and so was Brighton when we got there.
There was a real carnival atmosphere with everyone having a great time.
