Busselton Pier

When does a jetty become a pier? This is officially Busselton Jetty but at this length, I reckon it's a pier?

View from the end

Like Southend pier, it has a little train which takes you to the end - but we walked, both ways!

Right at the end you can descend to an underwater observatory

Not a great photo!

Busselton

We picked up our hire car - a Hyundai Elantra - and headed  south from Perth towards Margaret River

Our lunch stop was Busselton where they have the longest pier in the southern hemisphere.
Southend beats it as the longest in the world, by a couple of yards.
If you click on the photo you  can enlarge it to see the pier - hopefully.
More of the pier next time...

Happy New Year!

A very Happy New Year to all the followers of my blog - and thank you!
Here's the last photos from our Harry Potter Studio Tour.
This model was huge - if you look at the lady in the last picture, you will get some idea of the scale.
There was a very good time lapse film showing the building of the castle.
