I think the problem with posting photos has occurred since Picasa (the Google photo programme) had an update today. It is possible to upload photos to Blogger from Blogger, but not directly to Blogger from Picasa.
Hopefully it will be sorted out soon as it is currently rather time consuming and clumsy.
