We then headed back to the city and crossed this bridge on our way to a shopping mall at the harbourside - it's still very hazy, and actually got quite dark for a while at 3:00 pm

Leaving Heathrow

We arrived early in the day and couldn't get in to our hotel room just yet so we headed for the waterfront and took a boat trip

The haze is due to smoke from illegal forest fires in Indonesia.

It was quite alarming as we came in to land as we could smell burning in the aeroplane cabin - which is not good news usually but it must have been as we came through the smoke layer in the atmosphere

The architects seem to be trying to outdo one another?
