Happy St. Patrick's Day
Among the legends associated with St. Patrick is that he stood atop an Irish hillside and banished snakes from Ireland, prompting all serpents to slither away into the sea. In fact, research suggests snakes never occupied the Emerald Isle in the first place. There are no signs of snakes in the country’s fossil record. And water has surrounded Ireland since the last glacial period. Before that, the region was covered in ice and would have been too cold for the reptiles. So be thankful for the Irish climate!!

Bonkers
Amazon parcel received yesterday:
"Interesting, but stupid!" (With acknowledgement to Rowan & Martin's Laugh In). This was followed 30 minutes later by a different van containing the rest of the order.

Cheer Yourself Up!
This is our Clivia which sits quietly in the hallway and flowers at random times of the year
We haven't seen a squirrel for some time but we have just bought a largish humane mouse trap for the garage and managed to catch a young hedgehog this week!

Bure Valley Railway
I spent the journey there expecting a full size heritage railway - but it was narrow gauge!
Didn't matter though
Each family group had their own compartment due to Covid restrictions which made it all rather enjoyable, not brushing knees with the stranger opposite

Gressenhall
It's a farm and workhouse museum
More scaffolding though! There's a lot of it in Norfolk
The place was a real maze but they had a very good one-way system in place because of COVID. I think they should keep it as it worked so well. Also, you don't miss anything

What's Happened...?
Got home last might to find all the doors and windows open.
Everything has gone – stripped bare.
I suppose I’d better get S.W.M.B.O. ANOTHER advent calendar.
