Redbourn Museum Steam Day
As usual we had a great day with tremendous attendance figure, possibly helped by SWMBO's 'appearance' on local radio promoting the event

Cat Walking At Napton
We saw this lady approaching and thought it didn't look like a dog on the end of her lead...

Pitt Rivers Museum - Oxford
Behind the natural history museum is the Pitt Rivers museum which is unbelievable. It's crammed full with bizarre collections from around the world. It's very difficult to negotiate round the display cabinets as they're so close together.
The museum is in line for a top museum award this year.

Very nice old building with light and airy display galleries
Amazingly, this bear had a sign saying, "Please touch me"

Thrupp
Next day we moored at Thrupp and met SWMBO's uncle for lunch in The Jolly Boatman.
Would be nice to own one of these cottages but parking is a nightmare in summer.

Narrowboat Stella's Travels
This time we're travelling from Wigrams Turn Marina near Daventry to Oxford (and back).
The South Oxford canal is very rural with lots of wildlife and pretty villages.
Boat entering Somerton Deep Lock
Our namesake: Stella, moored at Somerton Wharf
