Canada - Columbia Icefield

This is the Columbia Icefield between Jasper and Banff.
 

To get to it we all had to go on the "Happy Bus".
 

 

 

 

Canada - Jasper Fairmont Lodge Hotel

The nice thing about the Fairmont Hotels is that anyone is very welcome to wander in, have a look around, and use the facilities - or not, if you prefer. Very nice.

The sun was shining right at the camera at this point so I took about six photos hiding behind various obstacles - and this was the best one.
 

This is the true colour of this lake caused by silt in suspension in the water.

We didn't have long in Winnipeg and so just explored the area around the station and this market which is behind the station.

This is the River Red in Winnipeg which is a bit larger than the River Red here in Redbourn.
