SWMBO's just been to a language school in Florence.

In the hotel she struggled unsuccessfully with our unbelievably complicated travel alarm clock and eventually took the battery out!

I've just bought her this clock which as the slogan says, "So simple, even Grandma can operate it!".

My word..is it simple? It's brilliant - just an alarm clock with no fancy extras.

I think even Saffie the cat could use it, although I don't think she's really in to being woken up from her slumbers until she's good and ready to get up.

Hertford Lunch

Veyso's Turkish restaurant in Fore Street is highly recommended.

Hertford Museum

While having my car serviced in Hertford, we took the opportunity to visit Hertford Museum.

It's a very interesting place and they have made quite a feature of Hertfordshire puddingstone in the garden
