Expensive chairs! They have a children's party here once a year and the first thing they do is remove the chairs and replace them with something less ornate - and expensive.

The guide assured the group that when they have the chandeliers cleaned they do not use "The Trotters"

Village Of The Year

There's a new series of "Village of the Year" on Channel 4 which is made by Reef Television.

It's currently on Monday and Thursday at 3:00 pm and the programme next Thursday (25th) features Rowhedge in Essex, Findon in West Sussex, Coxheath in Kent. AND Redbourn in Hertfordshire - so you might want to take a look and see how we get on...?

Really Annoying

"One" of the things that really annoys me is establishments advertising free WiFi and then keeping the password a secret. It's really frustrating to have to go and ask for the password. Some places have a notice hidden away, some have a blackboard with the code written in tiny lettering but the best places have cards on the table - or on the menu for example - with the code boldly displayed.

Anyone else find this annoying?

 

Is This The Way To YAWELDIRB?

This is a really bad photo taken looking into the sun so you may have to click on it to enlarge it.

We have just completed a 6.6 mile walk and found the way to YAWELDIRB.

How can this have happened?

It's not come through from the other side of the sign - how can anyone have made the finger post, how can anyone have made the entire sign, how can anyone have installed it? Unbelievable, or is it?
