Where has the blog been?

Sorry for the absence of posts lately.
SWMBO and I have been off on our boat again for the last fortnight. Of course, as usual I left Blogger with a schedule of posts for when I was away but it seemed to get stuck halfway through the holiday.
Now I'm back and can look in to the problem, it seems Blogger has had a 'facelift' and all my scheduled posts were not posted!
I've posted them now, and we should be back to normal.
Apologies once again...

Birds of prey centre

We recently went to the Birds of Prey centre at Old Warden near Biggleswade.
Old Warden is also home to the Shuttleworth Collection of aeroplanes. I sneaked a look in one of the hangars and took this photo.

Here are some of the birds. Don't ask me what they all are - just enjoy the photos!

Farringdon, MoL, Hockney

This is the smart new bridge which has recently been installed at Farringdon.

Nice garden at the entrance to the Museum of London.
We are taking a coachload of people from Redbourn Museum here in the autumn and called in to see what the facilities were like - you know, toilets etc. etc.

The Centre Page pub between St.Paul's and the millennium bridge.

And finally, the Hockney exhibition at the Royal Academy.

Paper Mill pub in Apsley

We went to the Paper Mill pub in Apsley for Sunday lunch with five friends.
It's a Fullers pub with excellent beers and a very imaginative menu - recommended!

This is Apsley marina opposite the pub.

A very strange bridge which I remember from about 50 years ago!
No-one seems to know why it was designed this way.
