Our next stop was Braithwaite.
They were still recovering from very bad flooding and the village shop had relocated to the shipping container to the let of the church called "The Shop In The Box".

Settle To Carlisle Railway

On our way to the next H.P.B. property we realised we would be very near to the Settle Carlisle railway so we had to take a look.
Our first sighting was the Ribblehead viaduct


Settle station.
Due to a landslide, the trains only run to Appleby at present but we thought that was good enough and bought return tickets with our newly purchased Senior Railcards

H.P.B. Askrigg

This time we weren't staying in the apartments but in the H.P.B. hotel, The Kings Arms

It was the village pub in the vet programme "All Creatures Great And Small"
